You Might Be Small But Culture Wins Big

You Might Be Small But Culture Wins Big

Intro: Over the summer, we had the pleasure of welcoming Adam and Allen from Bourbon Fat to facilitate an employee experience workshop for our team, that they creatively retitled “Employee Experience FRAPPY Hour.” Because the majority of our team members are under 21, Frappuccinos seemed a little more fitting than cocktails. Bourbon Fat led us through several exercises including writing, drawing, prototyping, and acting, that allowed everyone on the team to openly share about their hopes, challenges, and preferences when it comes to work. Read our blog on their website here. In today’s blog Allen and Adam share their wisdom on company culture. Starting a Business

Starting a Business

Intro: Well, starting a business is definitely a difficult task that. And you’re probably going to lose a bit of your hair, but in the end you’ll have something that you can be proud of. Jorge and one of his friends are in the process of starting a T-Shirt design company, so he wanted to document everything he learned about starting a business. He also interviewed Anastasia Butler from Sustainable Law Group to get some pointers. Thanks Anastasia!   Starting your Business by Jorge Guevara   What is your purpose? What is the Deal with Email Marketing?

What is the Deal with Email Marketing?

What is the Deal with Email Marketing? I’d be lying if I said I didn’t cringe a little when clients ask us to help them with an email campaign. Let me explain. However, we also sit in our inboxes deleting (or entirely ignoring) anything that makes us feel like someone is just out to get our money or annoy us. I’m not saying that email campaigns don’t work, because that would be factually untrue, and we’re not here to present #fakenews. In fact, at Knit we use email sparingly, but for us it has been an effective way to get […]

Now Introducing #MiniKnit – Digital Marketing Consulting Services

Now Introducing #MiniKnit - Digital Marketing Consulting Services

Now Introducing #MiniKnit – Digital Marketing Consulting Services At Knit, we talk to many small business owners and entrepreneurs who are in a grey area of deciding whether to outsource their digital marketing efforts or keep them in-house. This can be a tough decision to make based on time available, skill level, budget, and more than anything – the interest to do the work. For small teams with small budgets, we generally recommend keeping things in-house. This helps the startup define and develop their voice, test what works and doesn’t work, and have more of a direct relationship with their customers. For those teams, we’ve developed #MiniKnit – which is everything we do for our monthly clients, but in a […]

Why Do You Need a Brand Design Guide? A guest blog post by Graphic Designer, Dorey Kronick

Why Do You Need a Brand Design Guide? A guest blog post by Graphic Designer, Dorey Kronick

Intro: Branding can be challenging for any size company, and it comes up a lot in the work we do at Knit Marketing, because we’re constantly asking our clients for logo files, what fonts they use, their specific colors, etc. We recently went through our own process of having our friend and graphic designer, Dorey Kronick help us put everything in one place for Knit in the form of a brand guide (or design guide), and we asked her to share a little more about why this is so critical for companies of all sizes and lifecycle stages. Brand Guides A guest blog post by Graphic Designer, Dorey Kronick BRAND GUIDES: They’re more valuable than you realize. …Why? Let’s say you’re a […]
